I did cat rescue for 32 years but stopped in 2007 when my help left. I still have 15 of the little fuzz balls left and hope I'll be able to out live them. I was (and still am) a Jack-of-all-trades. I've sold everything except homes and ladies underwear. I was a Mission Commander on an RP3 Lockheed Orion in the Navy and flew all over the world from pole to pole. I have been a ditch digger, an oil and gas surveyman and crew chief, a tow rope operator at Purgatory ski area (oh sooo long ago), a waiter, maitre'd and wine steward, an electronics technician for surfacemount electronics, an assembler, driver, gunsmith (licensed), passport officer, small arms instructor, cattle rancher, teacher, choir director, artist and day trader to name just a few occupations that have paid the bills over the course of my life. I have worked with most ranch animals, large and small cats, show dogs (mostly in the hound group like Afgahns and Russian Wolf hounds but also spaniels, collies and Irish setters)and have vollunteered at wildlife rehab centers when I could. I love trying to keep abreast of all scientific fields but primarily astronomy, space research, and genetics. I like to do photography and artwork when the mood hits me and am a member of the Tai-Pan Project out of Seattle. I was an active member of the International Fantasy Gamming Society at their conception (but have been inactive for many years due to other interests and growing old, I can't chase the young kids up the mountains with a foam rubber sword like I used to.) Never married (just too darn busy), no kids, several brothers and sisters all still kicking and with families of their own. Very content with my life to this point. Still curious about a great many things. And, I never have, and hopefully never will have a cell phone (does ANYONE still remember what life was like before people started talking to themselves in public??)
